There are no turnpikes on the island, so you do not need to bring or rent a car or a motorcycle. Distances on the island can be covered on foot, by small boats (caiques) that make frequent runs to the beaches and by bicycles. The cost of hiring a small boat (caique) to go to Kato Koufonisi is reasonable. Apart from this, sometimes the hospitable residents of the island are willing to transport you to the distant beaches of Koufonisia.

The small boats (caiques) of the island take the visitors to the beaches of Koufonisi and Kato Koufonisi every one hour. However, visitors can go there, as well as to Glaronisi and Keros by their private boats. There is fuel supply on Koufonisi.
The wild scenery and the virgin nature of the island are the best place for walks and exploration. You can make it easier if you rent a bicycle and see what adventure means.
